How to convert a PDF to Word
- Select the PDF (enter the password if it's protected).
- Choose all pages or selected pages.
- Check the preview of the converted document.
- Download the Word document.
What the Word file contains
Each PDF page becomes a section with the same page size. Text is rebuilt into paragraphs with headings and lists, tables become Word tables, images are placed where they appear, and web links stay clickable. Two-column pages are read column by column when the layout is clear.
Key features
- Editable text instead of text boxes.
- Headings, lists, tables, images and links.
- The text is checked against the original so nothing is silently dropped.
Supported files and limits
- The goal is editable content, not a pixel-perfect copy; complex layouts will look different.
- Vector drawings and charts aren't converted.
- No OCR: scanned pages without a text layer can't be converted to text.
How your files are handled
PDF to Word runs in your browser: your file is read and processed on your device and the result is created there, so documents aren't uploaded to a server. Passwords you enter are used only for this operation and aren't stored. The site only counts anonymous page views, without cookies. How it works · Privacy
