Using the service
iHatePDFTool provides free PDF tools that run in your web browser. You may use them for personal and business purposes in line with these terms.
Your documents
- You are responsible for the files you open with the tools and for what you do with the results.
- Only use documents you have the right to use, change and share. You keep any rights you have in your documents, and you are responsible for respecting the copyright and other rights of others.
- Only unlock or change protected documents you are entitled to. The tools never bypass a password you don't have.
Results and compatibility
- PDF files vary widely. The tools check their own output, but there is no guarantee that every PDF can be processed or that every conversion, edit or extraction is complete or exact.
- Damaged, unusual, unsupported, protected or very large files may be refused or may give results that need correcting.
- Check every generated file before you rely on it, share it or delete your original, especially after redaction, form filling, protection and conversions. Keep copies of your originals.
Acceptable use
Do not use the site:
- for anything unlawful, or to infringe the rights of others;
- to create or spread malicious files or content;
- to remove protection or restrictions from documents you are not authorised to change;
- to disrupt, overload or attack the website, for example through automated abuse.
Availability and changes
Tools may be added, changed or removed, and the site may sometimes be unavailable. There is no guarantee of continuous availability. These terms may be updated; the date above shows the latest version.
No warranty
The site and its tools are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by applicable law. To the same extent, the site's operator is not liable for losses arising from the use of the tools or their results, such as lost data or incorrect output.
Privacy and contact
How your files and data are handled is described on the Privacy page. For questions, see the Contact page.
