How to convert a PDF to Excel

  1. Select the PDF.
  2. Choose all pages or selected pages.
  3. Review the detected tables and choose which to include.
  4. Download the Excel workbook (.xlsx).

Key features

  • One worksheet per table, with readable sheet names.
  • Cells keep the text exactly as it appears in the PDF.
  • No formulas, macros or external links are ever written.
  • The workbook is checked after it's built.

Supported files and limits

  • Numbers are kept as text so nothing is changed by automatic conversion; convert columns in Excel if you need calculations.
  • No OCR, so scanned tables can't be extracted.

How your files are handled

PDF to Excel runs in your browser: your file is read and processed on your device and the result is created there, so documents aren't uploaded to a server. Passwords you enter are used only for this operation and aren't stored. The site only counts anonymous page views, without cookies. How it works · Privacy
